Many of the other standard features of both air conditioning, cruise control, a rearview camera and vinyl seating.
However, this is where the differences begin coming into play, with the 2019 model being longer than the previous one. After all, the 2018 model was called the Covert Chevy of Hutto for a reason. The added size trim to the 2019 model is a result of a number of new features being added. These include an LED rear task lighting, a corner step bumper, enhanced climate controls, and a redesigned front seating area.
Interior – 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in Hutto
Speaking about a redesigned front seating area, it’s time to take a look at the interior differences between both. Having said that, though, both models have a lot more in common than they do actual differences. For example, both have an old-school column shifter and many of the same gauges; some might find this comforting, but others may see it as old fashioned.
The most noticeable difference between the two is the amount of space there’s available when it comes to the back seat in the crew cab. The newer model has a lot more legroom, due to the fact that it’s laid out in a 4-door crew cab configuration. Because of that, if you’ve got a larger family and go on family trips often, then everyone will be able to appreciate the extra room.
On top of that, the 2019 model also offers extra storage space; there are a number of extra small spaces available, as well as interior storage under the seats for example.
Mechanical – Silverado 1500 specs in Hutto TX
There are a vast number of differences when comparing 2019 vs 2018, and this is extremely obvious when it comes to the engine. There are also a number of upgrades available for the engine.

Then comes the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 – it features a Duramax 3.0L inline turbodiesel engine as standard. While the larger V8 engine will still be available, it will have a new cylinder-disabling feature that automatically shuts down multiple cylinders when they aren’t in use.
Because of all that, the new model offers a more powerful drive while still being just as versatile and driver friendly as the previous version.
Safety – 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 dealer
Safety features are something you should always look for, no matter which kind of car you’re looking to buy. Having said that, the Chevy Silverado has always been known for its safety features. The 2019 model is no different. However, there’s not much in the way of discernible differences when comparing 2019 vs 2018.
As standard, both come with a number of airbags; all told, there are front impact, side impact and overhead airbags on offer. Both also come with an ignition disable device that prevents the car from starting should the correct original manufacturer key not be used. The likes of pretensioners and stability control also come as standard for both of the models.
Having said that, there are a few new safety features available in the new model. Chief among these is a trailering app with theft alert and trailer tire-pressure monitoring and hitch guidance. Also on offer is a trailering camera package. However, both of these are mainly available as a part of optional packages.
Because of that, they generally won’t be coming as standard with the new model. However, the both of these are quite affordable when you consider what they offer. If these options are taken with the car, then they may make somewhat of a difference when it comes to the cars exterior look. After all, there are the likes of additional exterior cameras to consider.
